Sienna Skin and Beauty Choosing a Skin Care Line

Choosing a Skin Care Line

With many products out there on the market, choosing the right skincare line can be daunting. Throughout my career as an Esthetician, I have undergone advanced training with many different skincare lines, all with slightly different approaches to treating the skin. From holistic products to clinical products, I have studied closely what works for my client’s skin and what doesn’t.

Choosing a Makeup Line

I recently began a partnership with Jane Iredale Cosmetics and I couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce you to this beautiful makeup line. Jane Iredale is skincare makeup that is an extension of your skincare routine. It’s a mineral makeup line that is non comedogenic and contains nourishing botanical ingredients that promote skin health. Endorsed by the American Skin Cancer Foundation, these products contain high functioning SPF to protect your skin from the damaging effects of UV radiation.

Your Skin is an Investment

If you’re new to facials, you may have wondered if they actually work. Is all that money and time really worth it? Facials aren’t just for pampering. They are an investment in your body’s largest organ, your skin.

Skincare on the Go

If you’re anything like me, then you occasionally like to take a break from home, work and the daily grind. Maybe you like to soak up the sun on a gorgeous beach or take a hike through the mountains. No matter your destination, you’ll face decisions about what to pack-what kind of clothing and how many layers, how many different pairs of shoes, underwear and socks, toiletries, and of course skincare. Several factors arise when it comes to skincare and travel.

Skincare for Spring

And just like that, a new season is around the corner. March 20th marks the beginning of Spring, which means it’s time to think about switching some of your products around. Did you know that during each season, your skin experiences changes along with the environment? That’s why it’s a good idea to switch products around quarterly so that you can help your skin adapt to the change of seasons.

Nano Needling vs. Micro Needling

If you are a regular client at Sienna Skin & Beauty, then you’ve possibly tried a nano needling treatment before or have at least heard about it. So what is nano needling and how is it different from micro needling? In short, nano needling is a non invasive micro exfoliation and transdermal serum delivery system that only penetrates the topmost layer of the skin, or the epidermis (nonliving skin tissue) while micro needling utilizes the same method, but penetrates down to the dermis (living skin tissue). But there’s more, so let’s break it down.

Lashes That You’ll Love

Eyelashes are a feature that most people associate with beauty. When properly enhanced, lashes have the power to open up the eyes, define the lash line, and make the color of the eyes appear more vibrant. There are two kinds of services that are usually done in salons and spas to enhance the lashes, either Eyelash Extensions or the Lash Lift & Tint. Which service is right for you?

SPF is your BFF

It’s the peak of summertime and as your friendly Esthetcian, I am here to remind you to not only use SPF, but to reapply it. Many people suffer sunburns regardless of applying their sunscreen, because reapplication is just as important as applying it in the first place! So how does SPF work, and what are the rules with reapplication?
